(Approval) Workflow thingies continued..
As promised in my previous post (Approval) workflow thingies "I promise.. heck maybe I will do a screencast about this as well! ;)"
So here it is.. in this screencast (without audio so just have to look real good at what i'm doing ;)) I'm gonna show you how to promote fields from InfoPath to Sharepoint columns and use those columns to populate the task that is created by the workflow using SharePoint Designer. Thereby giving the approver the information he/she needs without having to open the document.

I get the following error when my users go into the form ("This feature requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later and a Windows SharePoint Services-compatible XML editor such as Microsoft Office InfoPath.") I am using Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. I have InfoPath 2003 on the server, where I've designed a form, and published it to a sharepoint document library. My users do not have InfoPath on their desktops.
Hi Dcallow, well if you want to use InfoPath forms that are viewable in the browser you need the 2007 version of InfoPath and publish your forms to be browser-enabled.

I got the same error but in my case I already set the form as Browser enabled.It is also an administrator approved form and all the check boxes in central admin are also enabled.Now my infopath form is successfully published to the server and can open if user has InfoPath installed.However, if there is no InfoPath installed the error comes out like the one dcallow1 got in his comment.
Could you help me in this?

you have enabled the enterprise features of MOSS on your sitecollection and webs?
I'm sorry Robin,could you tell me how to enable it?
I would like to try.Now I can't find it on Central Administration.

Well you can't find it there ;)
If you have to enable it on the site where you wish to use the form.
So it's Site Actions > Site Settings > Sitecollection features > Office SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Collection features
and Site features > Office SharePoint Server Enterprise Site features

And it's still not working? Did you set your InfoPath form to support browser-enabled forms?
Yes,I already made it browser-enabled also check in form options to be browser enabled.Even when publishing I checked for 'Enable browser compatibility'.
But our form has managed code and I did it to be admin approved form and uploaded already.

On the document library where you want to open up the form, did you specify in the list settings under the advanced settings section that you checked "Display as webpage"?
