?contents=1 still works in 2007!

Well since i'm busy with the migration options, I now regurarly come accross some sites that won't open since I didn't migrate custom webparts. To close this webparts you must access the webparts maintenance page which is not accessible via a link right now. But it still works like the 2003 way. You just paste "?contents=1" at the url (so you're link looks like this : "http://server/sites/site/default.aspx?contents=1") Pretty neat :)

the ?contents=1 tip works but it didn't solve my problem.

I had two WFE servers and decided to de-comission one. What happens is that the remaining WFE server display the following error:An error occurred during the processing of . Could not load file or assembly 'SmilingGoat.SharePoint.WebParts.Rss, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=dad40cb3cd742e40' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

It only see this error on all my subsites that were using the RSS feeds website.
I triesd pasting the ?contents=1 at the end of the subsites urls and removed all the webparts that use the RSS feeds but the above error couldn't go away.

Any idea on this?

Remove the line from your web.config on the remaining WFE. But that is only fixing your problem.. please use the solution/feature framework to ensure that every custom bit is propagated properly on every WFE.
